Winner of 2010 TEXO Distinguished Building Award
In June 2005, a terrible fire destroyed the Museum of Biblical Art and its contents including: the “Miracle at Pentecost” mural painting, 2,500 pieces of art, sculpture and artifacts, and all of the popular Judeo-Christian displays and art galleries.
Some of the rare paintings were recovered during the fire though the heroic efforts of 125 firemen and 25 trucks working in shifts that day. Although the fire dramatically damaged much of the structure and contents, the Museum Board of Directors made the decision to rebuild and expand the museum - continuing its vision.
The new Museum of Biblical Art is now open to the public and WBK could not be more proud to be a part of the recovery and revival of this incredible structure and it's amazing history. |
